Rainy Start to WBBL Season | Brisbane Heat

After yesterday’s clash against the Hurricanes was washed out and the points shared with just a handful of balls needed to constitute a game and what would have been a Hobart win, today’s encounter with the Sydney Thunder was likewise weather affected.
The Heat had fought back from an early Thunder storm by top order batters Tammy Beaumont and Rachel Trenaman to have the home side 3-80 before the heavens opened and play was suspended, a familiar lament across Sydney in the past week as matches left, right and centre have been washed out.
The ground was eventually declared fit to play with the revised target for a Heat a steep but not unshakeable target of 45 from five overs.
