Queensland’s Driftwood Bar staff on Fraser Island sent scurrying for safety by unwelcome goanna

Just like any other day, Peta Rowe was doing some afternoon bookkeeping as manager of Fraser Island’s Driftwood Bar.
Little did she know, an uninvited guest had made itself at home under a cupboard in her office.
“He just seemed to come through the back door, undetected by anybody,” Rowe told 7NEWS.
“Next minute, he was beside me and I couldn’t get of there quick enough.”
Rowe bolted out the door when she first caught a glimpse of the large goanna in the room.
