Queensland’s coronavirus border restrictions ease for people from regional NSW — Sydney and Victoria remain hotspots

Queensland’s border has relaxed again, allowing visitors from regional New South Wales to come over, but more than 5 million people who live in Greater Sydney, as well as residents of Victoria, are still locked out of the Sunshine State.

On Monday, NSW recorded only one new locally acquired case, connected to a known cluster in south-west Sydney.
At the weekend, Australia recorded its first day with no locally acquired cases since June.
