A Queensland man diagnosed with a rare blood clotting reaction to the AstraZeneca vaccine has been discharged from hospital.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration has ruled three recently reported clotting cases involving a 35-year-old NSW woman, an 80-year-old Victorian man and the 49-year-old Queensland man “were likely linked to vaccination”.
The TGA said all three, identified specifically as having thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome or TSS, were responding well to treatment.
