Queensland scientists have discovered baby sharks are being impacted by climate change and will struggle to survive by the end of the century.
The world first study exposed shark embryos to warm water to
simulate future ocean temperatures and found that sharks are being born smaller, exhausted and undernoursished.“They hatch sooner and they hatch really hungry. So they’re searching for food a lot sooner than we would expect.” – JCU: James Cook University, Australia, Dr Jodie Rummer.
