Two crew aboard a cargo ship off Queensland’s Sunshine Coast have tested positive for coronavirus and will undergo genomic testing to determine if they’re infected with a strain that has never been detected before in Australia.
Health Minister Steven Miles said all 19 crew aboard the Sofrana Surville have now been tested.
The coronavirus alarm was raised on the ship after an engineer, who lives in New Zealand, tested positive for the virus on the weekend after working on the vessel there.
