Queensland records six new hotel quarantine COVID-19 cases from virus-stricken Papua New Guinea
Six people who have come to Queensland from Papua New Guinea have tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the state’s 48 active coronavirus cases, 26 have come from Australia’s northern neighbour.
The cases detected in hotel quarantine overnight on Thursday highlight the importance of new measures to help PNG deal with a rapidly increasing number of infections, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
