Queensland records one new quarantine case on Monday
Queensland has recorded no new community transmission COVID-19 cases on Monday, with just one additional case recorded in hotel quarantine from a person who acquired the virus overseas.
More than 4000 tests were conducted over the 24-hour period to Monday morning, after Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk warned Queensland was in a “serious situation” as Sydney’s northern beaches cluster grew to 68 cases at the weekend.

Fifteen close contacts of cases in Sydney were identified as having travelled into Queensland by Sunday.
