Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk prepares to announce Cabinet line-up for her historic third term

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has been officially invited to form government by the Governor of Queensland in Brisbane — 11 days after Labor’s election win.
Key points:
- Queensland’s Cabinet includes three new ministers
- New ministers will be sworn in during a ceremony on Thursday
- The final Queensland election results are still to come
Votes are still being counted but Labor is on track to win at least 50 seats in the 93-seat Queensland Parliament.
Ms Palaszczuk visited the Governor at Government House this afternoon and will swear-in her third-term Ministry tomorrow.
Some changes have already been announced, most notably new portfolios for deputy Labor leader Steven Miles and Treasurer Cameron Dick.
