Queensland Police seek attacker after man dies in fatal stabbing in Ingham, north of Townsville

An attack on a man who was fatally stabbed while walking with a woman and teenage girl was targeted, police believe.

The 20-year-old man and females aged 25 and 16 were approached by a man while walking on Mcilwraith Street in Ingham, north of Townsville, at 11.30pm on Sunday.

The victim was stabbed in the stomach before the woman, girl, members of the public and police came to his aid.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died just over an hour later.

No one has been arrested…
