Queensland police offer $500,000 reward to solve attempted murder of officer in 1999 bank robbery
Queensland police have announced a $500,000 reward to crack Australia’s only unsolved police shooting, more than two decades ago.

- Despite extensive investigations, the two men who carried out the robbery have never been identified
Senior Constable Neill Scutts was shot in the groin during an armed robbery at a bank in Browns Plains, south of Brisbane, in March 1999.
He was knocked to the ground and his gun was stolen.
Two men wearing plastic masks and surgical gloves fired at a second police officer before fleeing the bank with a sum of cash and two staff members as hostages.
