Queensland mum issues dire warning about magnets for kids after daughter almost dies

A Queensland mum has issued a dire warning to other parents after a misdiagnosis almost cost her daughter her life.
Kylie van Alphen’s two-year-old daughter Alyssa was a healthy, happy toddler on her way to childcare in late-October.
After coming back from her first day on a Wednesday afternoon, Alyssa fell ill.
Thinking it was a stomach flu, Kylie thought it would pass.
But over the course of the next 48 hours, Alyssa’s condition deteriorated and she found herself in hospital.
