Queensland mother charged with killing seven-month-old daughter

A south-east Queensland mother is accused of killing her baby daughter after the seven-month-old was found lifeless in her home last week.
Emergency services were called to the home in Murgon, 175 kilometres north-west of Brisbane and 70 kilometres west of Gympie, about 9.30am on Friday.
The baby’s mother was trying to revive her when paramedics arrived. Police said no one other than the pair were home at the time and the mother phoned triple-zero.
Paramedics rushed the baby to Murgon Hospital, where she was declared dead soon after arriving.
The baby’s 21-year-old mother has been charged with manslaughter. She was refused police bail and was due appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Friday.
