Queensland may get more virus cases
Professor McMillan, the program director of the Menzies Health Institute at Griffith, said as the Adelaide cluster shows, there is still a small amount of virus in pockets of Australia.
For that reason he says keeping up the practises which have seen us through the pandemic is essential.
“We will get a case or two, they will pop up and we just have to be prepared,” Professor McMillan said.
“We know the consequences of not doing these measures – get tested if we have symptoms, maintain social distancing, practise good hygiene like washing your hands – we risk lockdowns and all that sort of thing, so we have good motivation to do the right thing for each other.”
