Queensland is working towards getting our community back to normal while ensuring we continue to slow the spread of COVID-19. Queensland Health has advised it is essential that you continue to do the right thing and abide by the restrictions that are in place https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/
From 15 May 2020, public gatherings for recreational purposes, such as fishing, are limited to 10 people. This applies to fishing from shore as well as on a boat. If you do choose to go fishing, stay within 150 km of your home, keep 1.5 metres from others and practise good hygiene.
State Government boat ramps currently remain open, and Seqwater and Sunwater dams reopened on 2 May. Check with local authorities about other fishing locations before you head out fishing.
For any queries about boating, please contact Maritime Safety Queensland (Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland))
