Hundreds of thousands of Brisbane residents have been put on alert after the fragments of COVID were detected in wastewater.
Two separate wastewater treatment plants – Luggage Point and Victoria Point – tested positive for the virus, Queensland Health said on Thursday.
The catchments service 99 suburbs in the Metro North region of Brisbane, as well as some inner-city suburbs on the southside.
