Queensland has 1 new case of coronavirus in Queensland today, reportedly acquired overseas and is in hotel quarantine.

Queensland has 1 new case of coronavirus (COVID-19) today. The case was acquired overseas and is in hotel quarantine.

There are currently 13 active cases of COVID-19 in Queensland.

Currently, 13 of the active cases are in hospital.

To date, 1,180 people have recovered and sadly, 6 people have died of the disease.

This brings the total number of cases to 1,199.

Traces of COVID-19 have been detected in wastewater treatment plants in Cairns North and South on 24-25 November, 2020, and in Bundaberg on 24 November, 2020.

While unlikely, we cannot rule out the detections are from active COVID-19 cases or recovered cases and therefore encourage people to get tested immediately if they are unwell.
