Queensland Goverment refuses to support bed tax despite push from four mayors
The Queensland Government has swiftly rejected the idea of taxing tourists on behalf of councils.
The mayors of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, and Whitsundays wrote to the Queensland premier on Wednesday asking him to create a “bed tax” for visitors staying in their regions.
