Queensland girl tells of ‘unbelievable’ pain from being stung by box jellyfish
A Queensland girl stung by a box jellyfish has likened the pain to being doused in boiling hot oil or bitten by a shark.
Cadence Molony, 14, still feels pain after being stung while tubing in waters at Eimeo near Mackay last Easter – 10 months ago.
“It was instant (pain),” she told 7NEWS.
“I starting punching the water, thinking it was a shark, trying to get it away.
“I ended up swimming back to the boat with a bunch of tentacles attached to my leg.”
The painful ordeal was far from over…
