Queensland family’s pet pug survives after eating 11 Hungry Hungry Hippo balls

Meg Menhinnitt was enjoying Hungry Hungry Hippos with her three-year-old son after giving him the popular board game for his birthday.
But lurking by the table was another hungry animal – Sherman the pug.
Not many of the small plastic balls had stayed on the table during the game – and it was then it appeared Sherman had struck.
“We saw Sherman had a Hungry Hippo ball in his mouth,” Menhinnitt told 7NEWS.
“We told him to drop it, and he swallowed it.
