Queensland driver ‘weaponised’ vehicle after deadly weekend on roads

A driver has allegedly “weaponised” his vehicle by travelling 60km/h above the speed limit in torrential rain in Queensland.
The example of driver “stupidity” has been raised after eight people died on roads since Friday, in one of the “darkest” ever weekends on the state’s roads.
Acting Chief Superintendent Ray Rohweder said the incident south of Brisbane could have resulted in another fatality.
