Queensland border closure: Annastacia Palaszczuk announces who can enter the state

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced the border will stay closed to all Greater Sydney residents but will reopen to the remainder of the state next week.

She also confirmed the border would remain closed to all Victorian residents.

The premier made the announcement on Friday morning following a briefing from Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young – a day out from the state election.
