Queen Elizabeth’s friend has died suddenly, just months after losing his own wife.
Lord Samuel Vestey passed away aged 79, two months after the death of his wife Lady Celia Vestey, who died at 71.
Lady Celia served as godmother to Prince Harry.
Lord Samuel and Lady Celia were both close to the Queen and the royal family, often spotted sitting in Her Majesty’s horse-drawn carriage procession at the Royal Ascot, with Lord Samuel working as a horse owner and breeder.
