QLD Treasurer may be witness in mayor’s misconduct hearing
The Crime and Corruption Commission charged Cr Sutherland with two misconduct offences and he was suspended from his position as mayor of Moreton Bay Regional Council in December 2019.Mr Sutherland wasn’t in court on Tuesday when Magistrate Belinda Merrin refused his application for barrister Saul Holt QC to cross-examine, on “very general issues”, the majority of 16 witnesses listed in the case against his client.Brisbane Magistrates Court heard the application included a column of broad issues…
