A southwest Queensland high school has been closed after a boy was diagnosed with COVID-19.
St Edmund’s College in Ipswich, west of Brisbane, will be closed for two days after the Year 11 student tested positive.
According to Seven News, a letter was sent out to parents informing the school would shut immediately to undergo cleaning and contact tracing.
It comes as Queensland health workers are “aggressively” tracing contacts of people potentially exposed to an outbreak at a hospital.
