QLD student Maddie Gill dies from SUDEP after epilepsy diagnosis
The heartbroken mum of a young woman who took a nap after work and never woke up says her daughter’s life was “just starting to come together”.
Maddie Gill had moved out of home, was working part-time and preparing for the final year of her communications degree at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
The 22-year-old was diagnosed with epilepsy as a child but hadn’t experienced a seizure in more than 10 years.
But the illness took her life on December 5, when she suddenly died…
