The Bureau of Meteorology said in many places, Sunday was the single wettest July day since July 1, 2005.
And the flooding rain and huge seas battering NSW are set to continue.
A severe weather warning is in place for parts of the New South Wales coast, including Sydney, following a weekend of damaging wind and torrential rain.
