Qld health braces for highest number of active cases since May

Queensland hospitals are under pressure from 41 active cases of COVID-19 and an unexpected surge in emergency department presentations.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk told parliament another five cases were confirmed overnight, all overseas-acquired and detected in hotel quarantine before the travellers were taken to hospital.
