QLD COVID outbreak grows by two cases including Ipswich Hospital nurse – 7NEWS.com.au
Another case has been reported in a high school student.
A nurse in the coronavirus ward of a Queensland hospital has tested positive for the disease.
The man, who works at Ipswich Hospital, is one of two COVID-19 cases overnight on Tuesday, as an outbreak in the states south-east grows.
The other case is a student of Ipswich high school Staines Memorial College.
Health Minister Steven Miles says the nurse is a 37-year-old man from Deebing Heights in Ipswich.
There have been COVID-positive patients in that COVID ward, Miles said.
