The Ipswich woman’s positive COVID-19 test sparked widespread testing, particularly at her workplace.
No new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Queensland overnight amid an urgent response to a Brisbane youth detention centre worker testing positive.
The Ipswich woman, 77, was revealed as positive on Thursday before she worked a number of shifts at Brisbane Youth Detention Centre in Wacol while sick.
On Friday, Queensland authorities revealed 56 people who were tested at the centre, mainly youth detainees, were negative for COVID-19.
