Qld clocks 26 days without a local case, as border restrictions ease
The hotspot status of south-west WA was revoked at 1am on Saturday.
If there are no further locally acquired cases, border restrictions for Perth and the Peel region will be removed at 1am on February 14.
It will mean Queensland will have no mandatory quarantine requirements for any interstate travel in time for Valentine’s Day.
Dr Young said she was confident that Western Australia was tracking well, with high rates of testing and no cases, but added that caution was needed.
“Western Australia also continues to exercise caution, with West Australians ordered to wear masks when out of the house for another eight days,” she said.
