QLD authorities issue advice for travellers from Melbourne after hotel quarantine COVID case
People in Queensland who had been in greater Melbourne since January 29 have been told to get tested for COVID-19 and then isolate.
A hotel quarantine worker has tested positive after working at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne, where hundreds of tennis players and support staff had been staying at the hotel in the lead-up to the Australian Open.
The 26-year-old man is Victoria’s first community case in four weeks.
