Qantas is banking on the Australian Government allowing international travel to resume later this year, and an industry expert has told prospective passengers to get ready for the mother of all fare sales.
Qantas chief Alan Joyce is optimistic the vaccine roll-out and borders reopening will rescue the airlines bottom line after it sank to a $1.08 billion half-year loss.
With the vaccine now rolling out to frontline and quarantine workers, the odds of that are improving every day, Joyce said.
