The fast-tracking system which does not single out members of Virgin Australia’s Velocity scheme gives travellers three months to earn 100 status credits.
Doing so will mean they qualify for Qantas’ Gold tier frequent flyer benefits, which typically require 700 status credits that travellers earn through flying on Qantas planes. The perks include priority check-in and access to seats, extra baggage, and upgrade requests, among others.
