Push to send surfers to the rescue

Surfing’s governing state body, Surfing Queensland, is launching the Surfers Rescue 24/7 initiative which teaches recreational boardriders CPR and board rescue techniques.The course was developed by Surfing NSW and Surfing Queensland wants to see it rolled out on Sunshine State beaches.The Surfers Rescue 24/7 program is freely available in NSW and Victoria, subsidised by state governments, and Western Australia has introduced a similar scheme.
