Public Health England is to be scrapped after criticisms of its ‘sluggish’ response to coronavirus in the UK, it’s been reported today.
A new body called the Institute for Health Protection will instead deal with responding to pandemics.
The Covid-19 work of PHE is to be merged with NHS Test and Trace to form the new organisation, according to The Sunday Telegraph.
