Sony has announced that PS4 System Update 8.00 will release later today. There’s not a lot of huge changes, but it seems that Sony is preparing a lot of its services for the release of the PS5. This includes changes to party and messages, as well as a number of changes to parental controls and 2-step verification.
The PlayStation Remote Play app is also getting updated. It’ll now be called PS Remote Play and include support for the PS5 at launch.
