A report has revealed the favourite city to host the AFL grand final – with negotiations about to begin.

The AFL and Victorian Government are set to begin talks about moving the grand final out of Melbourne for the first time in history.
Victorian sports minister Martin Pakula will soon begin negotiations and Queensland is expected to host the decider, according to the Herald Sun.
The grand final is expected to be played at night for the first time the 122-year history of the VFL/AFL, and is being slated for October 17 or 24.
