Probe into death of Queensland Police officer begins

Ricky Maddison’s criminal history, including two disturbing domestic violence offences, has been laid bare by the first witness – Detective Senior Sergeant Fiona Hinshelwood.
The officer, from the Ethical Standards Command, which examines serious or fatal incidents involving police, investigated the deaths once Maddison was shot by officers after a 20-hour siege.

The most significant of Maddison’s history was two domestic violence incidents in 2017.
