An investigation into Brisbane’s Hotel Grand Chancellor coronavirus cluster has been unable to determine exactly how the virus evaded infection controls.

The report has found a hotel cleaner “most likely” acquired the virus “through indirect contact” during a shift on January 2.

The positive case of the more infectious UK strain forced the Greater Brisbane area into a three-day lockdown.
