Prisoner charged over bungled armed jailbreak scheme at Casuarina Prison in Perth

WA Police have charged a prisoner and his associate for allegedly conspiring to free an inmate from Casuarina Prison using firearms.

- Police searched a house and jail cell during the investigation
- One of the accused refused to answer the magistrate during his appearance
Both 24-year-old men were charged with conspiracy to forcibly free or attempt to free a person who was serving a murder sentence.
The men appeared separately in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.
