Premier calls on Commonwealth to expand GP vaccination network

“People know their GP and they feel more comfortable talking to the local GP,” she said.

“This makes sense. This is the best way we can encourage people to get the vaccine … go to see their local GP, who knows your personal history.”
She said people must give consent before receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine, which worked well with local GPs.
“And it is very important that people give that history to their local GPs,” she said.
Additional doses of the Pfizer vaccine were due in Queensland in the second half of 2021.
“It is towards that last quarter of the year that we are going to see more volume, more supply,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
