A Gold Coast grandfather who urged a Filipina teenager he sexually abused to recruit her friends so he could also “take their virginity” has been sentenced to six-and-a-half years’ imprisonment.

Rex George Harrison, 66, pleaded guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday to sexually abusing the 14-year-old girl over a year until his arrest in October 2017.
