Positive COVID-19 case confirmed in crowd at A-League game in Newcastle – Sydney Morning Herald
Anyone who attended Newcastle’s 1-0 win over Western United at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday has been asked to monitor for symptoms.

A crowd of 2570 attended the match on Sunday, where only the lower bowl of seating at McDonald Jones Stadium was open to the public, and seating in bays was capped at 25 per cent to allow for social distancing.
Despite the scare, the A-League will continue with crowds at selected fixtures until NSW government advice changes.
“McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle Jets and FFA will continue to work with NSW Health to monitor this situation,” Football Federation Australia said in a statement.
