Pop star Cody Simpson made a stunning return to top level swimming with his first competitive race in Australian waters for over a decade a raging success.
Simpsons proved his Olympic dream could be real when clocked a slick 24.68 seconds in his heat for the 50m butterfly to finish 11th overall, just 0.02 outside the top 10. The ten fastest qualifed for the final today. He shocked fans yesterday when he opted to skip his preferred 100m butterfly event.
