Ponga’s form a product of training changes: O’Brien – NRL.COM
The zing that Kalyn Ponga is missing from his game is partly because Knights coach Adam O’Brien says he’s been feeding his players a strict defensive diet during their weekly training sessions.

The zing Kalyn Ponga is missing is partly because Knights coach Adam O’Brien says he’s been feeding his players a defensive diet during training.
O’Brien made no apologies for the stodginess of the Knights display in Sunday’s 10-4 loss to the Eels at McDonald Jones Stadium.
He reminded Knights fans of what happened two rounds ago at Queensland Country Bank Stadium with the 32-20 loss to the Cowboys.
“In Townsville our defence got us. I thought if we didn’t go back and pick up some of that defence we could get to the end of the year and it could really hurt us badly in a game,” O’Brien said in trying to explain some of the flatness in the Knights attack since.
He hasn’t scored a try since round four and for the past two games he’s had no line breaks or try assists.

“We’ll get better at that
