Polystyrene packaging to be banned under new government plastics plan – Sydney Morning Herald
Tougher plastic packaging controls are on the agenda for the federal government’s plastic packaging plan to be unveiled in Brisbane on Thursday.

Mr Evans, the Member for Brisbane, said it could take a decade for all plastics to be fully recycled and to reach the 2025 targets.
He said recent examples, such as McDonalds restaurants deciding to stop providing plastic straws, showed people in the industry were sympathetic.
