Police shoot man, officer injured in Brisbane’s south-west

A man has been shot by police and an officer has also been injured in an incident in Brisbane’s south-western outskirts on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Blunder Road and King Avenue about 12.15pm and police were involved in a confrontation with a man and shot him.
The man was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition, according to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman.
Police said one of the officers involved also suffered a non-life-threatening injury. It is not known what kind of injury it was or how it was inflicted.
