Police pursuit death in custody prompts Aboriginal Legal Service fury

The Aboriginal Legal Service is “devastated and furious” over another death in custody and is calling for urgent meaningful action.

Barkindji man Anzac Sullivan died during a police pursuit in Broken Hill on Thursday, March 18, police revealed today.
Police allege the 37-year-old man ran from a property on Silver Street, Broken Hill, last Thursday, where they went on an outstanding warrant.
Patrolling officers were alerted to a man suffering a medical episode nearby and started CPR, but he was declared dead at the Broken Hill hospital.
