Police investigate the death of a baby girl hit by a train in Melbourne

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a three-month-old baby girl who was hit by a train last night in Upwey, in Melbourne’s outer-east.
The child’s mother was also hit by the train and is in a critical condition in hospital.
The woman is also under police guard.
